Learn to perform employment testing and job site analysis

Become a Certified Employment Testing Specialist. This course will cover the Employment Testing process in its entirety. It will teach you steps to develop, administer, and reassess an employment testing program for each phase of the hiring process. You will learn how to objectively identify essential job demands information through job site analysis and turn those essential functions into an EEOC and ADA compliant protocol. Immediately improve return on investment by developing skills to maximize use of functional job site analysis. Course Objectives

  • Demonstrate the appropriate use and difference among types of employment testing
  • Comprehend the components of an employment test that is job related and consistent with business necessity
  • Outline the key components of a successful employment testing system
  • Examine and investigate the requirements of test administration and the return on investment for providers and employers
  • Identify, measure, and report essential demands validly and objectively


This course is currently pre-approved for CEUs by the AOTA, BOC. AOTA Classification Codes: Category 1: Domain of OT & Category 2: Occupational Therapy Process. The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA or indicate AOTA approval of a certification or other professional recognition.

This and many of our courses are currently or have in the past been pre-approved for continuing education credit by most state PT boards. Other specialities/professional disciplines should be able to submit for individual credit but it is important for you to contact your state licensing board or professional credentialing board for information regarding policies and the amount of continuing education credits allowed for online courses.


Participants must be present for all 7.5 hours of class work which includes course participation and group work, practice and demonstration, for the awarding of CEUs. Those wanting to earn their CETS Certification must then, after completion of the course, perform one live job site analysis and develop employment test protocols from that analyses. Job site analysis report and corresponding employment test protocols must be submitted for review within one year of live course. Please see About Certification below.

About Certification

At the conclusion of the workshop attendees will have earned a Certificate of Attendance awarding 7.5 CEUs.  After completion of the course, attendees must perform one live job site analysis and develop employment test protocols from that analysis. Job site analysis report and corresponding employment test protocols must be submitted for review within one (1) year of the live course. Review will assess how well the attendee followed the course training and objectives, attendees may be requested to send updated reports and protocols prior to approval. Following successful completion and approval of the one (1) Job Site Analyses Report and Employment Test Protocols, attendees will receive their certification designating them as a Certified Employment Testing Specialist™ (CETS™).

Due to ongoing National changes in Employment Testing policies and procedures, maintenance of certification will require the annual completion of the "National Employment Testing Regulation Updates" course and course examination, which will be available online. Price for annual re-certification $54.95.


Tuition is refundable less $50.00 if canceled 14 days before the workshop date. Tuition is not refundable under any circumstance, for registrations or cancellations after the 14 days has expired. However, you may have someone attend in your place or attend at another date. You may only change workshop dates or locations two times, then tuition will be forfeited. The Back School cannot be responsible for nonrefundable travel expenses, etc. should it become necessary to cancel a workshop.
